NOTE: Optional games (Gross/Net skins & Deuces) are $5.00 each. Suggestion/Recommendation: include the skins/deuces money with your entry fee, and PLEASE tell me which games you wish to play!

777 2012 Field Day Memo

• After you arrive at the course, go to the Pro Shop and check in; the course will be paid BEFORE THE 1ST TEE TIME based on the number of folks checked in.  Please check in BEFORE 11:30 AM.
• The USGA Rules of Golf apply.  (No freebee lifts, no "foot wedges" etc) Any exceptions (local rules) are on the course score cards, (which the tournament WILL follow) OR FOUND ON THIS LINK - READ IT!
• The only "Tournament Rule" is if you have a disaster hole, put the ball in your pocket after 10 strokes and record a "10" and a 3-putt.
• This is handicap stroke play - 777 member's course handicaps calculated from the indexes posted on the league web site, LW guests, same deal for you.  Guests using GHIN, indexes from the September 1 2012 revision will be used.
• Play - Handicap stroke play, all competitors play from White (middle) tees.
• Flights - 2 flights, break at >index 20.9.  Tournament pays 4 places in each flight, Least Putts in each flight.
• Pairings - at the bottom of this memo.  I've paired members with their guests as much as possible.
• The 1st name in each foursome is the score keeper for that group; he will ensure that the hole scores are accurately and LEGIBLY recorded, conflicts within the foursome are adjudicated, and putts are totaled before the card is handed in.
• There is no penalty for arithmetic errors - I need the individual player total for putts, but hole scores are individually keystroked & summed electronically.
• Hand in your score card to me (Chris) immediately following your round (before you do the trip to the parking lot to change shoes).  I'll be in the restaurant with the laptop.
• The plan is to hand out the tournament money within 30 minutes of the last foursome handing in their card.  777 League awards will be done after this; guests may leave after tournament awards if they don't wish to be bored with league stuff.
• I would appreciate it if someone would be kind enough to volunteer to help with the "envelope stuffing" - preferably someone who is reasonably comfortable counting money.
• There will be 15 - 20 folks waiting for their money so they can leave after the round, and there is nothing more frustrating AND DISTRACTING FOR THE SCORERS than LISTENING TO PLAYERS LOUDLY REPLAYING THEIR ROUND!  So give the folks at the scoring table a break - don't hover and enjoy your conversations/beverages a reasonable distance from the guys stuffing envelopes.
• Everyone in the tournament will receive via email a snapshot copy of the score sheet within 1 day of the tournament.
